For a change of scenery this month, why not visit Whitstable? Here are three things to see and do at this boho, laid-back fishing town on the Kent coast…
Discover the mix of quality shops
Head to Harbour Street to see its plethora of pretty shop fronts which sell quality items, from boutiques, art galleries and gift shops, to delicatessens, butchers and bakers which trade side by side – all of which have established Whitstable as one of the best places to find one-of-a-kind items.
Unwind by the beach and harbour
Take a stroll by Whitstable’s working harbour or enjoy the unspoilt coastline.
The harbour, built in 1832, is still a working port with a fascinating history, and the shingle beach is traditionally English, lined by brightly coloured fishermen huts.
Visit one of its independent restaurants
Whitstable is famed for its oysters, so perhaps visit an independent seafood restaurant. Or if a day trip to the seaside isn’t complete without fish and chips or you want to try an independent restaurant, you’ll be spoilt for choice!
Stewarts Tours have a day trip to Whitstable on Sunday 17th September 2017. Please click here for more information or to make a booking.
