New Theatre Shows – 42nd Street and more!

Take the hassle out of experiencing the magic of the West End and secure tickets to one of London’s smash-hit shows by coach.

Arriving in London this week is the musical 42nd Street, where we’ve secured top price stalls tickets for the evening performance plus a two-course pre-show meal at the Marquis of Anglesey for £83.00 per person. Making its West End comeback for the first time since 1990, the brand-new production of this classic tale will take you back in time to the height of the Great Depression in New York, following the story of starry-eyed Peggy Sawyer. When the leading star of a new Broadway musical becomes injured, Peggy gets the big break she’s always dreamed of – watch this heart-warming story unfold at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Thursday 13th July.

More new theatre shows this year…

  •  Half a Sixpence – the musical comedy that launched Tommy Steele’s international theatre and film career. This new stage version is Julian Fellowes’s clever take H.G Well’s novel (the Oscar-winning screenwriter most famous as the creator of Downton Abbey), which transferred to the West End last year for the first time in 50 years following rave reviews at Chichester Theatre. It tells the tale of Arthur Kipps, an orphan who dreams of a better world. But what will happen when he unexpectedly inherits a fortune that propels him into high society? See him wrestling with his new identity to choose between his childhood companion Ann Pornick and the wealthy Helen Walsingham. Whatever your age, this typically British musical is guaranteed to warm audiences with its feel-good story. Our day trip includes a top price stalls ticket for the evening performance for £75.00 per person on Thursday 29th

  •  Gangsta Granny – David Walliams’s best-selling book will be making its West End debut following an extensive UK tour. From the award-winning producers of ‘Horrible Histories’, it tells the story of Ben, who spends every Friday at his Granny’s. What Ben doesn’t know is that she has a secret – and he embarks on an adventure of a lifetime with his very own Gangsta Granny! Our day trip includes a top price stalls ticket for the matinee performance for £68.00 per person on Thursday 3rd

All our theatre shows include top price tickets, never a cheaper option which people would be disappointed with – so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy!

Day Trips to Beautiful Gardens

Day Trips to Beautiful Gardens

Whether you’re a gardening enthusiast or simply looking for a day of relaxing, we have day trips coming up to some inspiring gardens around the country that are just waiting to be explored. There’s no better time to visit, with fresh bursts of seasonal colour and warmer weather making them perfect for a springtime wander…

Colchester & Beth Chatto Gardens – Wednesday 12 April 2017
A world-famous garden, the six-acres are sure to offer inspiration for all; Beth Chatto is one of the most influential gardeners in our time. Before 1960, it was an overgrown wasteland between two farms and is today split into four main areas in a classic design. The Scree, Gravel, Woodland, and Water Garden all feature once-unusual and rare plants. So whether it’s the water plants or the delicate plants in the Scree Garden, there’s always something to see. Our day trip also includes a lunch stop at Colchester, Britain’s oldest recorded town.

Hestercombe Gardens – Sunday 30 April 2017
Hestercombe is an exquisite display of formal gardens spanning three centuries of garden history which harmonises with the surrounding Somerset countryside. A visit here will provide you with fifty acres of inspirational gardening styles, including a Georgian landscape garden, a Victorian terrace and shrubbery, an Edwardian garden design, and lakeside paths. A must-see for anyone interested in garden design.

Exbury Gardens and Cream Tea – Thursday 18 May 2017
A perfect garden to visit this time of year, they offer a riot of spring colour and the world-famous Rothschild collection of rhododendrons and azaleas should be at their best. The 200-acres of natural beauty and horticultural variety were designed by Lionel de Rothschild in 1919, and it was his ambitious plans that today make it one of the finest woodland gardens in the UK. Admission is also included for the 20-minute train journey aboard the steam railway, and a traditional Cream Tea with a homemade scone, jam and clotted cream, tea or coffee will be served in Mr Eddy’s Tea Room on site during the afternoon.
