It’s just a few weeks until Cheltenham Racecourse welcomes thousands of visitors for its annual Gold Cup Day, one of the finest days in the horse racing calendar and the most prestigious day of the weekend.

The climax of the Jumps season is a sell-out event with superb horses and jockeys making this the most popular horserace in the country, surpassed only by the Grand National.

Over the year’s notable winners of the valuable prize money include Best Mate, who was a three-time winner before its death and one of the most loved racehorses in the UK. This year will we see a repeat of 2015 and see a novice secure the Gold Cup, or will a favourite come out top?

Our day trip includes a ticket for the Tattersalls Enclosure, enabling you access to the Tattersalls grandstand viewing steps, the Paddock and Winners Enclosure viewing steps to study the horse pre and post-race, all the bookmakers in betting ring and more. Plus, travelling by coach is one of the hassle-free ways to get there!

Whether you’re an avid horseracing enthusiast or just want to experience the atmosphere of the gripping races and the famous Cheltenham Roar’, the day is always guaranteed to fill you with anticipation and adrenaline to make it a day to remember.

Only last few tickets remaining – book now!

Leicester’s King Richard III Visitor Centre

In recent years, the city of Leicester has not only hit the news for its football success in 2016 – but for one remarkable discovery beneath a council car park back in 2012. Why not see what the complex story was all about on our day trip to the King Richard III Visitor Centre?

Join the hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world and be welcomed to the £4 million state-of-the-art visitor centre, located in the heart of the city just opposite the famous Cathedral.

You will be told the story of the search for his remains, including his life in medieval England and the meticulous research and archaeology that led to the discovery, alongside interactive displays and a 3D replica of the king’s skeleton. Leicester itself has a rich history and is today shared with a diverse culture.

Combined with Bosworth Battlefield, where King Richard III lost his life fighting for the throne at the Battle of Bosworth, it makes a fascinating day out for those interested in history and heritage!

Stewarts Tours have a day trip to King Richard III Visitor Centre and Bosworth Battlefield on Saturday 25 February 2017. Please click here for more information or to make a booking.
